We Will Miss You!

After 28 years in education – 21 of which have been with Ingleside, ISD, Ms. Stephanie Dotson has made the tough decision to retire at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Ms. Dotson has been the Principal at Ingleside Primary School for the last six years and what a wonderful asset she has been to the Mustang community.

Ms. Dotson stated that the decision was not an easy one because of her deep commitment to Ingleside ISD, its students, its staff, and the greater community supporting our mission. Her passion for school and the love she has for both her staff and students have never subsided.

Ms. Dotson considers herself extremely fortunate to have served as an educator in such a vibrant and supportive community; a community where education is valued as a top priority by students, teachers, and parents alike. This is all paired with the opportunity to be a colleague to such an extraordinary faculty and staff. She stated that she is humbled by the fact that parents have entrusted part of their children’s schooling with her and how she loved being a part of the next generation as students from her past are now bringing in their children to her school. Ending her education career at IPS was a career highlight as she knows she was given a gift from this community to help in creating a caring, loving, and high-quality school that she will never forget.

“I know that IPS will continue to thrive in my absence and I know that whoever the new Principal is, they will be rewarded with the best of the best! I know the IPS campus will welcome the changes with open arms. While this was a tough decision to make, I am looking forward to seeing what this next chapter of my life has to offer! Always remember, ‘you’re awesome, you’re the best and you rock!’”
